Is there a bulge on its left side just below it's head? I looked at the pic to see if he looked malnourished, and it didn't look quite right to me . Wondering if there was a mass or even hosting some sore of parasite.

I'm not sure if they are attacking the coral or if they are picking at what's left of it ... If I had to guess I would say brittle star

Well that's stuffed. I would suggest a 50% water change and then another 50% in a day or 2. Cut feeding from a pinch 3x a day to 3x a week. I'm not sure how often the eel needs to eat. I'm sure somebody will chime in. I am pretty sure it he gets hungry he'll make a snack out of almost...

My leather goes on a 3 day strike if I go to long with a water change. If I see it looking pathetic I know it's past time to do a change. A day or so later it perks right back up. Id check parameters, 10% pwc can't hurt
You don't need to keep it running all the time you can put a few chunks of foam in your sump that way they establish a healthy amount of BB and that would keep the cycle on the qt minimal.
That being said you can go go hypo or copper treatment. Remember that your fish are in a much more...
I currently have a mass outbreak in my frag tank They are tiny little brown flat snail type organisms. Although they have no shell. Attached is a pic of them on the glass although it's hard to focus. I'll try to take a better pic.
