Well, they sell for a lot of money localy, and I have not seen it anywhere on line. It is a beautiful deep red/orange anemone that I keep at the bottom of the tank. When I bought it, it was translucent pink, and it will go back to that color if placed on the top of the tank (I keep it at the...

I have two tanks (40 gallons both) full of livebearers. Their water parameters all test normal (pH 7.4, ammonia and nitrite are 0, with nitrate being kept down to 10). They are planted and lightly stocked. There is no CO2 injection or anything of the kind. I recently bought some sword tails...

I have 2 55 gallon aquariums in chicago that have not been in use since 1975. They have no scratches, and the glass is in good condition. When they were used, back then, they held water no prob. Now they might have to be siliconed, I am not sure. I need these out of my house ASAP. I am...

Any divers out there collect their own stuff?

You cannot bring them in the water that you collect them in because of plankton. Left stagnant this plankton will quickly die and start to polute the water. Millions of fish and inverst were lost long ago when they used to do that. The collectors learned their lesson and now use setteling...

Any divers out there collect their own stuff?

Just be careful. U might want to buy some salt at the lfs. Because if you dont, it does look like certain.....restricted substances.....if you know what I mean. I only thought of that after I got there. Andrej

    Recycle Water

The salt would hurt it. However, some of us (me in particular) have fw tanks as well. Thats what I do with my fw water change. Andrej

    Recycle Water

If you are that environmental concious, which I comend you for if you are, dump it on your lawn. Just make sure you spread it around. Fertilizer, DUUUUUDE. Andrej

Any divers out there collect their own stuff?

I have brought some algea from Jamaica and some brittle stars from Florida. You just have to realize you cant carry them in the saltwater that you collected them in. Andrej

btw, forgot to mention: The 10 gallon tanks are the old kind of tank, with stainless steel borders, and a slate bottom. If you want anantique look I can gaurantee that it is an aquarium look that turns heads. Its very hard to find them like that anymore. Andrej
