You cannot bring them in the water that you collect them in because of plankton. Left stagnant this plankton will quickly die and start to polute the water. Millions of fish and inverst were lost long ago when they used to do that. The collectors learned their lesson and now use setteling...

Just be careful. U might want to buy some salt at the lfs. Because if you dont, it does look like certain.....restricted substances.....if you know what I mean. I only thought of that after I got there. Andrej

The salt would hurt it. However, some of us (me in particular) have fw tanks as well. Thats what I do with my fw water change. Andrej

I have brought some algea from Jamaica and some brittle stars from Florida. You just have to realize you cant carry them in the saltwater that you collected them in. Andrej

btw, forgot to mention: The 10 gallon tanks are the old kind of tank, with stainless steel borders, and a slate bottom. If you want anantique look I can gaurantee that it is an aquarium look that turns heads. Its very hard to find them like that anymore. Andrej
