    Don't worry about the algae. It will go away once your biological system evens out. You can syphon out the debris to remove it. Make sure the algae doesn't grow on the acros. Plus you can add more cleaner crews. I just stared using a bio-pellet reactor a week and a half ago. It's supposed to...

    Protein skimmers are a must in my book. Not only do they help get rid of nasty waste but also help oxygenate the water. I also suggest not skimpin out on a cheap one. They make some nice hang on the back models if you don't have a sump

    I have had salt get hard In a bucket before and broke it up and it was fine. I would definitely test it also before use
