    Need help with Alternanthera Reineckii

I made my girlfriend a wabi-kusa style paludarium from Valentine’s Day and at first the plants seemed doing well and growing. Then the AR’s leaves started curling up, which is upsetting her. During this time, we were trying to spray seachem flourish liquid fert and flourish excel (to prevent...

11G Framless Aquascape - medium tech

Most of the initial plant melt is gone and tank is now cycled. I really like nano fish so I have stocked some rasboras (and one axelrodi!) and some blue velvet shrimp.

11G Framless Aquascape - medium tech

Thanks! Anyone know how long it’ll take for coral moss to stick onto the wood branches? or how long it’ll take micranthemum or anubias to start rooting into the substrate/rock? Thanks in advance!

11G Framless Aquascape - medium tech

After a couple years I finally got back into fish keeping and started an 11gal tank. Countless videos of aquascaping inspired me to do this and took a couple weeks of planning. The tank is an 11gal aqueon frameless with a glass hood and an aquamaxx light. Will be using liquid CO2 and ferts...

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

And so indeed. With my $80 DeepSea lighting fixture and dosing excel and flourish every other day, most of my baby tears have melted away but I saw some new life from the melt. I have a long road ahead with this carpet...

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

Finally got around to making the tree with the Christmas moss. Hopefully it'll grow out nicely after a few weeks! Also tank is now flooded and the dwarf baby tears ended up staying put! I got a few yellow neocaridina in there already and dumped this turbo start kit and using some old media.

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

Got lucky today at the LFS! Bought 2 packs of HC and also had the Christmas moss! First time taking care of Christmas moss but I don't think it should really be any different from java or flame which I had in the past. Luckily the dwarf babytears were able to be planted within their growing...

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

I wanna make sure I get the dwarf baby tears and moss in there. Gonna visit the LFS tomorrow and see. If they do have them in I may just flood it by then! Haha

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

The worst part is figuring out how to anchor the plants and hope they don't float once I add the water... Immersed at the moment. Doing a little bonsai thing at the top of the biggest rock. waiting for some Christmas moss for the tree and dwarf baby tears for carpet to show up at my LFS...

Starting a 7.5g cube Iwagumi style

Finally settled after the move and I'm pretty excited to try this style of Japanese aquascaping. To put it loosely, iwagumi means "rock formation" or "rock garden", using rule of thirds to focus attention on the hardscape and making things look natural. Went to my LFS yesterday and found some...

    Starting a 7.5g cube!

Hey Thrills, I personally love scarlet badis myself. In the past I tried keeping 2 in a five gallon but I always found them constantly picking at each other. They need a good amount of space each, like a square foot for each of them. Maybe having more will split aggression but I'd recommend a...
