Hey guys... A quick update:
Took your advice - removed bioballs, added biomax instead.
Tank completed fish-less cycle in exactly 3 weeks (Funny - all the people I spoke with including at the lfs told me I HAD to have fish in there!! Jus goes to show you what they know).
Readings were 0 Amonia, 0...

Thanks for the tip - honestly I haven't heard about that in all of my newbie research... It makes sense, however, with my Amonia levels being high already - why do you think this is the case?

Hi all... I hate to ask another question aout cycling (i figure you pros get tired of hearing these)... But here goes:
I am 1 week into a new tank setup: 36 gallon, canister filter, 40lbs ls, 40 lbs lr. Tested the water after the first 2 days and again tonight - heres what i got:

Not sure if an anemone is too delicate for a newbie

This is my first time setting up a saltwater aquarium...
I've had plenty of fresh water tanks in the past but, honestly, was always afraid to get into marine. Seeing all that equipment is daunting, not to mention all the people scaring me off!
