Any of you all have fish that eat out of your hand?

When I first got my pinkspotted goby I would hand feed. It's been a while since i tried it, but he isn't scared of my hand at all, in fact, sometimes i have to push him away if I am trying to do something with the rocks. I like this kind of behavior, makes me feel like a proud daddy.

    Shrimp or ?

Looks like my Japanese Pistol Shrimp. They like to dig a hole (usually under rock) and hide all day long and enjoy having some rubble to cover their hole. I would also suggest getting a shrimp goby (pinkspotted gets along well with mine). Take a look here...

    Hitchicker...pest anemone?

I bought this piece of dead coral with some polyps on it and i noticed one of these things on it. I noticed it in another part of rock, but then it seems to have made itself at home inside a little tube on the coral. As soon as light hits it, it shoots inside the tube it's living in. Any ideas...

    Mushroom?

Nice picture... I'm no expert, but I looked for it @ Liveaquaria.com and it seems to be a Blue Striped Mushroom. Check it out: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1860

I like it, but I dont know what it is...

Thanks steve. I fed it some frozen brine shrimp the day before yesterday and yesterday it opened it's mouth almost fully. However I still dont see any sweepers though. Could it be that it's malnourished? Or does it take some time to grow sweepers? In either case, it looks a little bit healthier...

I like it, but I dont know what it is...

Thanks guys. So how should I go about feeding it? I looked up the trumpet coral and it says it has very short sweeper tenticles, but I cant seem to see them. Where should i put the brine shrimp? will it go into it's little mouth looking thing? Also, yesterday night it let something black out of...

I like it, but I dont know what it is...

Hey all! Well, after about 2 weeks of water tests coming up good, i finally got out to the LFS and decided to buy some corals. I bought a small rock with some polyps on it to see how it would do. It seems to be doing just fine, and as a matter of fact it seems to be getting bigger... Today I...

    Male Mollies... are STUPID.

Well, i haven't experienced any losses yet, but I can imagine it hurts (even if it was from his own stupidity). Sorry to hear about your loss...RIP Gizmo.

I have, but i'll be sure to pay more attention to the glass. I mostly pay attention to the rocks (and 2 featherdusters i found). I shall check tonight. Thanks again!

    White buildup on glass

Well, does newly formed coralline come off easily with finger? And as for egg masses I suppose you mean snail eggs (which i dont have), could be calcium...thats what my girlfriend said it looks like. It's really dense in the middle and forms a streak in either direction...weird stuff, I'll keep...

    White buildup on glass

I already have some coralline growing and I dont have any snails just yet (waiting for some more algae. And these sports are indeed in the interior wall of the tank. I removed it quite easily with my finger. We discussed it during chat on sunday and it seems to be algae (definitely feels like it).
