last question ( yes it is about 6 months old tank) after a week i have seed the new filter with old media from the old filter or now when adding the new system?

and how to set up a new one? should i let both in the fish tank?

yes but my top water has ammonia in it and the bottled spring water has nitrate in it (before adding to my tank or adding any chemicals in it) just tested them before use

:banghead: Ok so i check my top water ammonia 0.5 nitrate 0 checked my spring water ammonia 0 nitrate 5.00 which should i put in my fish tank???:eek:

i have this filter in it: Grreat Choice® Internal Aquarium Power Filter 10/20G Flow rate 90 GPH. i am sorry but new in this things. so i have to make a bucket water (as i do for fish) and wash the filter in it? and than back to the tank? I already changed water
