- My Tanks
- 2 20 tall tanks with whisper filters. 1 is a 20-40. The other is newer model with biowheels and no secondary biological brillo type enviroment for beneficial bacteria. The 20-40 has the brillo type filter for benefial bacteria to live in and should only be rinsed occ. and never washed. I currently have one calico fantail Ryukin and 2 mellow blackmoors in that tank. And its doing great. My beautiful Orandas died in the other tank, they'd been treated for ick, and fungal infections and parasites and they died with sunken sides, and this white cottony growth on most of their body, with some scale loss. They were also lethargic before they died. I still have the filter running in the tank, i need to take the plants out, as i put the light over the other tank. I didn't know to let the tank cycle before I added the fish, but it didn't affect the Ryunkin, and I tested the water and added the bacteria and water treatment to it. My main concern is what i need to do to get that tank ready for t
