From what im reading on the internet, the females all stay bland and close to grey regardless of the variation in the dwarf gouramis color genes.. Please post if you have other info.. I'm not not believing you, I'm just curious because I myself have 2 females 1 male and I would add a few...
Female dwarf gouramis are silver with very light blue and maybe red patterns, you should stay with that kind, you will be fine with one male and many females, how big is your tank ?

Yeah I meant the zebra and pink.. And the kribs, denesoni barbs and DG leave him alone, they have been in there for almost a year... But now I'm really wanting to find more knowing that it's not that uncommon :D
I currently have 7 normal zebras and 7pink ones.. But just 1 long fin., could that be a problem ? All my danios (14) school and play together.. No picking or agressivity..
Edit: they have tons of currents and live to play in my "bubble wall" :-)
+1 on that... You could try to find another lfs that would take them, for free or maybe even a fee. (I think it's just a great excuse to start a new tank :p) I never listen to people I don't know at my lfs.. Good luck!
So I have some pink danios (glofish) as well as regular danios.. One pink one has crazy long fins, no one picks on him or nips the fins.. Is he just special (as in a normal deformation) or is this a special gene.. Anyone have any info on this?
