Goniopora (i.e., flowerpot) Very, very difficult to keep alive. Most of 'em die within a month or so. They're beautiful, but I'm not really sure why pet stores keep selling them. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

I've got a 100 gallon tank right now with a tomato clown and a powder blue tang. My corals have been doing great until about three weeks ago. First my two star polyps were not opening fulling and finally closed. (Another set of star polyps that aren't all that accessible are doing fine.)...

My experience Great rock. I put it into the tank without curing and had no problem. However, I did do the hypo dip. Out popped a mantis shrimp. I later discovered a mithrax crab, which did not come out during the hypo dip. He's now residing in my sump.

Looks similar but not exactly the same as a crab in an earlier thread. Please help identify and let me know if it is reef safe. It's body is about a 1/2 inch in diameter. I munches on algae, but has broken off pieces of the live rock. Thanks.
