    Ganiopara....... I think

Goniopora (i.e., flowerpot) Very, very difficult to keep alive. Most of 'em die within a month or so. They're beautiful, but I'm not really sure why pet stores keep selling them. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

    Need help locating something.

Sushi restaurants If you have a local sushi restaurant, you can try convincing the restaurant to sell you a dozen sheets with your maki. I gave this recommendation to someone in Utah, and it worked. It helps to like sushi, though. ;-)

    Idea for a heater...

Couple of complications Couple of complications. 1. As the previous person mentioned, most people find that the light contributes too much heat to their system. I know mine does, which is why I have a chiller. 2. If you're always pumping water through the light system, you don't have much...

    Powder blue tang eating polyps?

I've got a 100 gallon tank right now with a tomato clown and a powder blue tang. My corals have been doing great until about three weeks ago. First my two star polyps were not opening fulling and finally closed. (Another set of star polyps that aren't all that accessible are doing fine.)...

    more live rock questions...

My experience Great rock. I put it into the tank without curing and had no problem. However, I did do the hypo dip. Out popped a mantis shrimp. I later discovered a mithrax crab, which did not come out during the hypo dip. He's now residing in my sump.

    Please help identify crab

Looks similar but not exactly the same as a crab in an earlier thread. Please help identify and let me know if it is reef safe. It's body is about a 1/2 inch in diameter. I munches on algae, but has broken off pieces of the live rock. Thanks.
