    Glass Lid. Yay or nay?

I had a glass top and really struggled with Ph swings. I purchased the DIY mesh screen from BRS. I love it as it keeps my wrasse and jumpers in the tank, doesn't reflect as much light as glass, and my PH has been great ever since I added it. I never measured it, but I think the glass tops...

    feeding schedule

I was told to feed enough for them to consume in 15 seconds. I was also taught that if you feed and food reaches the sand bed you are feeding too much. Every other day should be plenty. Note I have only been at this 2 years and have lots more to learn. I am sure the experts will jump in.

    Red algae

As recommended, look into Chemiclean. It will not harm your fish, corals or invertebrates.

    Is steady 500ppm Calcium ok?

PWC should be enough. That's not the case in my tank, but you will only know for sure by testing. I really like the Tech M. If was recommended on this site and so far so good. Funny, my LFS recommended several others above Tech M, but they never worked for me as easily as Tech M.

    Is steady 500ppm Calcium ok?

I followed Tech M's recommendation and it worked exactly as they stated.

    Clear/transparent frogspawn?

Just a guess, but my guess would be insufficient light. I have a bunch of green hairy mushrooms. One of my corals grew so large it blocked their light source for several weeks. They then turned clear, but since I moved them I slowly see their color coming back.

    SPS Coral Bleached then Browned

It has been about a month. It changed was originally green and purple; then it immediately turned white when I exposed to it air and my LEDs; then after awhile it turned orange; now it's turning dark brown. I would say it took about 2-4 weeks to turn from white to orange/brown.

    SPS Coral Bleached then Browned

All, I have had a Montipora undata for about a year and saw great growth under T5s. I recently moved to LEDs and I am pretty sure I fried the coral during a water change. The coral was wet but out of water as the water level dropped during my WC. As I added the new water the coral...

    Omg annoying algae!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. I was away for 10 days and when I scraped the algae off my glass, stringy green stuff came off a and a small piece latched onto a rock. I thought I took it all off but I didn't. I think it's turf algae. My algae eating fish and CuC won't touch it. I...

    Mystery Wrasse?

I have a 72G bow. I added a mystery wrasse about 3 months ago. I also have 2 clowns, tomini tang, foxface, and a ywg. Everyone gets along great. I also have a cuc and cleaner shrimp and he doesn't bother them. Very good looking fish. The best part is that he hunts and eats bristle worms...

    Emerald crab

I have a few that always try but they can never really grab on to one. They also try to reach at my cleaner shrimp often but are unsuccessful.

    Clams under t5

I have seen it dine with T5s, especially with those ATI bulbs. There is a clam does it a bit easier to care for, but I can't remember the name. I am sure someone here will remember it.
