yesterday i noticed that my blue gourami had developed some kind of bump on top of his or in his eye i cant distinquish it well. it looks like the inside of his eye just popped out or something. i really want to help him and dont want him to die. doest anybody know what this is or how to cure...

are those snails good algae eaters??

ok..so i have a common goldfish about 5 inchs long....and for a little while he is being losing scales and also now i noticed that he is missing two little chunchs of the end of his tail..is this fin rot?? he is being like hiding and not really active for a couple of days and i dont want him to...

well i think my tank is cycled...my readings are ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 5 ppm. i usually put two caps of the janitor strength ammonia bottle every night and in 24 hrs ammonia and nitrites 0 and nitrates 5-10 ppm...its been like this for the past two days..if i check it like 10 hrs after...

where could i take him?

ok so i have a 75 gal tank...just abt done with cycling..i have three shubunkin goldfish, one common goldfish and one common pleco kept in a tank with two gouramis. i want to move the goldfish and the pleco to my 75 gal since they need cooler water and more space. but i would like to know what...

i thought they were supposed to be going down..not rising but i did a 25% pwc last night but it didnt go down much..is like the highest lv possible on the test kit...when are they supposed to come down? the ammonia is been fine...it goes to 0 in a day but nitrites never do..i guess i ll change...

ok so ive been doing fishless cycling for about two weeks...and i add about 2 ppm every night and it goes down to 0 in 24 hrs but for abt 5 days the nitrite has been sky high and no signs of going down..is that normal? can the cycle stall for high nitrite??

what would be a good course of action? should i add any med or just do pwc? i did a 50% pwc last night after the fish died just in case

could that transfer to my other fishes?

im really sad to say that the poor goldfish didnt make it..it died this morning..i feel so bad for the poor fish..i tried to do all i could but i quess it wasnt enough...when i took it out though i noticed that his belly was kinda swollen so i made a little cut to see what it was..he had a big...
