BillD is absolutly right, it is no problem. I have one the it rated the same, some days with people using large amounts of water in the neighborhood it slows waaaaay down to what i guess is almost 1 gal per hour.

Look around your area for shop that makes and/or repairs tanks they should be able to either repolish yours or replace it reasonablely. The other choice is search online or at your LFS

Mine do this when close to spawning, they clean the rock they chose to spawn on, and I do mean CLEAN and make a burrow in the sand. If they close to spawn if you put your hand near the spot they are at they will attack you, just to keep you away

CUC will help, try shortening your light time as well. Also check water param's, looks like you might be high in phosphates
