    Fish dies within 1 hour

Did you remove the filter pads? That will get rid of all the bacteria that keeps things stable. Did you add a dechlorinator such as prime?

Bad news: Tons of algae, a few different types. TONS. Good news: For the most part, the plants look healthy and have grown :)

Here is what the tank looked like before I left. Actually, it was a couple days prior and I know there was noticeable growth.

    Sydney's Rimless Tank.... Round Two!

My brother would not let me use his ipod to upload the pictures I took onto my laptop, so I will try and get some with the camera. That, and I was busy with my goat. She had quads this evening. Two boys, and two girls :) I have a question - would it be terrible to mix up the ferts in tap...

Puffer not eating and looking sick

He may have pop eye, possibly internal parasites as well. I would start out with a water change, and see if aquarium salt and API General Cure is safe for puffers. I have used the General Cure for internal parasites before.

    Goldfish Septicemia

Also just to be clear, water changes will help. but I don't think salt will.

    Goldfish Septicemia

Water changes and salt will not cure sepsis. It's very serious, but can be treatable. Strong antibiotics are needed. I think either of yours will work. Medicated food will help as well as long as your goldie is eating.
