It looks like the legs will be the best choice. Thanks for the input.

    lighting placement

I just bought NOVA Extreme light fixture. It came with two options for mounting. The first is mounting legs and the second is sitting light fixture directly on aquarium with sticky tabs holding it in place. Wouldn't the 2nd option make the lights to close to the water? I guess my question is...

    lost fish to powerhead

I am wondering if the foxface was eating the leftover flake food off the sponge and got sucked in.

    lost fish to powerhead

My 3yo daughter yelled for me to come see the fish that something was wrong. I went to qt and the foxface's mouth was stuck in the powerhead. I had a sponge covering the intake area but apparently there was a small hole (pencil eraser size) on the bottom of sponge. And that is where the mouth...

How do you do your water changes?

I keep ro/di water in a trash can with heater and powerhead. When it's time to change water, I take a 3/4 inch plasctic tube (4ft long) and attach to powerhead and put the other end of tube in a bucket and withdraw water that way. Then I attached tube to powerhead and put ro/di water in tank.

    lighting for tank

I am trying to figure out if I need to sell my current lighting or just add another fixture to my tank. I want to add coral (start with beginner type corals) but I have 2 65w compact flu and 2 65w acitinic, also lunar lights. What should I?

    purchasing new fish

I have a 6 line wrasse that is aggressive. I purchased a dottyback 6 months ago and within a day he had killed it. So, my question is what kind of fish can I get that he won't pick at or kill? I would like to get a yellow tang and/or coral beauty. Are these okay?

    added condylactis

I have had my tank for a year now. I decided to had an anemone. So far it looks good. I would like to add a bta. Is this ok? Also, I would like to add a few corals. What would be compatible with the anemones? My fish consist of 2 clowns, 6line wrasse, and a convict goby, and a cleaner crew.

    lots of tiny bubbles

It's not a new skimmer. I have had it since aug 06. It sits inside the sump. I have never used the bubble diffuser before, so I put the hose inside the diffuser and that has removed most of the bubbles. From reading other posts, I may have a leak somewhere?

    lots of tiny bubbles

When I turn the protein skimmer on there are lots of bubbles shooting into the tank. When I turn the protein skimmer off, the bubbles clear up. What do you think is the problem?
