Hi there. Love the look of the tank.

I probably would, but if you've got the water standing a couple of days before topping, the chlorine would've gone anyway.

Hi all, just wondering whether anyone had any info on keeping red crabs or has kept them before?

I know you probably did do this but for people who maybe don't know. Did you take the carbon out of the filter? Treatments don't work with it still in.

Lack of oxygen into tank maybe? Is the filter fully submerged? If it is it shouldn't be. It should be located so that the water coming back out breaks the surface of the water.

I kinda think they're pointless. Fish rest in darkness in the wild so why have a light for our satisfaction of seeing them. Just my opinion.

Doesnt that depend on whether see wants an sir feature in the tank. i.e. Bubblers etc

Just ensure you get an air pump which is the right size for your tank. They are all measured in litres so getting a pump that only does up to 50l when you have a 100l tank for instance wouldn't produce a great display.

Very nice cichlid set up. They'll love it.
