Yes, it's a snail. They reproduce like crazy and can be hard to get rid of. There used to be drops called Snail B Gone, but the EPA took them off the market. Now, there are loaches that eat them or assasin snails that kill the other snails. I'm battling them, too, and am trying loaches. I...

I started this tank a month ago with guppies and 9 neons. The guppies moved, and I added 4 small Angels and 4 white Tetras. My son is keeping his Phantom Tetras in my tank until his cycles, so they are just visiting. I have 3 shrimp for algae control and 3 loaches for snail control.
