What kind of Tetra do I have here?

Thanks! Good to know! You can see through them. I thought I was missing some neons this morning and was looking inside the white tetras for them, but the neons were just sleeping under and behind the driftwood.

    Bug on aquarium plant!

Yes, it's a snail. They reproduce like crazy and can be hard to get rid of. There used to be drops called Snail B Gone, but the EPA took them off the market. Now, there are loaches that eat them or assasin snails that kill the other snails. I'm battling them, too, and am trying loaches. I...

What kind of Tetra do I have here?

Thank you! I thought the long flowing fins were pretty, but any pictures I could find of white tetras didn't look quite the same.

42 or 48 gal Planted with Angels and Tetras

I started this tank a month ago with guppies and 9 neons. The guppies moved, and I added 4 small Angels and 4 white Tetras. My son is keeping his Phantom Tetras in my tank until his cycles, so they are just visiting. I have 3 shrimp for algae control and 3 loaches for snail control.

What kind of Tetra do I have here?

I was Googling Tetras, but could not find one that matched this one. I bought four of them yesterday.

What's the best fish to have alone?

I have my guppies with neon tetras and I'm happy with that combination. The guppies usually stay on top while the neon tetras swim middle and bottom. It is very colorful. I agree you cannot put too many in a 10 gal and when your female guppy is pregnant you will need another tank. I keep...

Guppy with swim bladder healed, but being bullied

Thanks for the advice! She is doing better but I will definitely keep her separated so she can get stronger. She is staying behind the heater, but comes out when I feed her.

Guppy with swim bladder healed, but being bullied

I nearly euthanized my fancy guppy female, but instead I tried nursing her back to health by quarantining her, making her fast, and feeding her frozen brine shrimp. Days later, I decide her female guppy tank mate has missed her. They come back together and you can see a vast difference in the...

    Octopus

We have clowns, a wrasse, an angel, two gobies, and discovered a rogue octopus had come in a rock. It was small and we tried so hard to capture it during the nights because we were afraid it would eat the gobies and it was stressing the clowns. Unfortunately, it died and inked the tank, making...

    Hi from Dallas

I'm starting over with aquariums, after having a freshwater 20gal tank with mollies, platys, tetras, and angels for 8 years and learning by more error than trial with that tank, I got tired of trying to save the baby angels before the parents would eat them and let that one go. Now, 4 years...
