Love my black sand, makes corals pop like no other. Some poo build up but only back behind rocks in area of less flow. Other wise I think it looks great. I'm going to start a zoanthids/ mushroom tank only and use black sand for that as well.
It's kind of like a " wait and see" thing. I would think it would. The crown is not the important part, it's the worm inside the tube that matters. However, the crown can be indicative of both sides of the story. Just keep and eye on it. Like I said I would think it will come back just fine...
Skimmer expertise needed!
So I called BRS and they said they were unaware of the change that occurred. The pump is apparently supplied by coralvue. The BRS guy called coralvue and got this response...
The OTP product was switched to AQS by coralvue because they found it to pull more air...
I just bought the BH-1000 HOB skimmer. On their website, it says it uses the OTP-1000s 13 watt pump that spits out 250 GPH...
When the box arrived, I got this...
It's the AQ-1000s 9 watt w/ 120GPH...
That's less than half of the others performance..
Then on the box they leave this...
I guess it probably depends on the size of the apstasia. Mine were small. And I used insulin needles to 1) stab the anemone 2) inject about 2-3 mls of lemon juice. I was aggressive in my opinion lol
It's inside the shell, if that's the only one just throw the shell out. If there are more, I have always used boiled lemon juice... That has worked for me

If you waited 7 days then added a lot of RO, you could risk changing the salinity to quickly. Guess it depends on your tank size and how much is evaporating/ being added
