    Dwarf shrimp with white tail

Hmm. I guess it is possible, they are about that age. It seems as if the white on the tails lasts a while though. I'll just have to keep an eye on them, I guess.

    Dwarf shrimp with white tail

OK. So my blue pearl shrimp tank has some shrimp that have white on the interior of their tails. I've searched all over and can't find out what it is. Some people on forums have said this means imminent death...thing is though, I've had these guys like this live for weeks...No known deaths...

    Gluing Rocks?

IMO, you should definitely be gluing them. It makes it easier to form your caves and you have significantly less chance of a cave-in. I used to try to build caves without glue and I could never really get it to work the way I wanted. As far as the type of glue is concerned, I would stick with...

Snails that DO eat live plants

So, I've been doing some research and found that most all snails do NOT eat live plants...but I'm having trouble finding out the type of snails that DO eat live plants. On another forum, someone mentioned canas as a type of snail that eats live plants. I gather that these are "apple" canas...

Broken pump: Is Teflon tape safe to come in direct contact with water?

So my pump on my nanocube broke a few minutes ago and I've got it narrowed down to this magnetic tube connected to the propeller by plastic. The plastic broke, so the magnetic tube just spins and the propeller doesn't. It's nearly 6:00 on Sunday and there's no way I can get to a pet store in...

White Spider-like creatures on side of tank

Here's the background: The tank is in a screened porch in South Florida and was started three weeks ago. I had "low-light" plants so I didn't have a light on the tank...these plants died (inevitable, I know) and I tried to get as much as possible out. Don't worry, I've done WCs since then...

    $100 bio cube ?

I think it's a pretty good deal. I paid that for a 12g Nanocube a couple years ago. They are pretty cool set ups. I use mine for a planted tank, but one note of dissatisfaction (though idk if biocubes have the same problems) is that it gets too hot from the heat of the power compacts.

    40g Cichlid

    Awesome formations.

    46gal bowfront Amazon biotope!

I think (which means I'm probably wrong) that the bug is a dragonfly larvae. Also, your tank looks great.
