    FW protein skimmer??

It will probably work better with finer mists.. Used to add Ozoneso Ps will perform better in F/W and also in S/W But Ozone system requires few other pieces of equipments which I find Absolete in for F/W. Air Drier, Ozonizer, O3-O2 reactor, Ozone resistant tubing/hose, Carbon Reactor, extra...

    sick and dying corals

How about if you stop the water chnges if no sign of NH3, NO2? It could be overdosing but im leaning toward too much of water changees at once, If you drain 50% of water, are any coral/polyps, etc exposed to air? The weight of water of extended corals will rip the tissues from their skeleton and...

Could someone ID the following items in my Reef Tank?

I really dont know what it is. It may be colony of sea squirts or turnicate. Although it can be Hydroids but I have not encounter hydroids in my many yrs in reefing. Very hard to tell what it is from the pic but if feather duster (or other tube worms), I rather keep them unless you can confirm...

    What The Heck Is It?

Any time! If you happen to purchased Mushroom rock and Goniopora came on it, What a Good Deal you've got! With more movement around the Goniopora but not direct, tentacles will extend even more, lot more. Enjoy!

Could someone ID the following items in my Reef Tank?

Why kill off others unnecessarily? If it is hair aglae, try new tooth brush/any brush and try removing as much as you can. I am more curious about stuff growing below hair algae on 2nd and 3rd pics.

pH, Ammonia, Cloudy Water, Nitrate, Nitrite Problem...

Glad to hear tank is back to normal. As long as NH3 and No2 and pH are OK, shouldnt have problems as Nitrate will be kept in check via water changes. Whatever you do, avoid extremes, even massive water changes at once. Hope all goes well!

    Sick neons

Although it is possible that it might have complications (too blurry to tell) but usually sickened fish tend to shy away from food and colors should besomewhat not as bright as your fish.. Thus will just monitor them. It could also be that this maybe female ready to spawn. It is also commomn to...

pH, Ammonia, Cloudy Water, Nitrate, Nitrite Problem...

Hi! Dean, Sorry to hear you went thru such troubles. I am also from OLD SCHOOL, lol. If it was my tank, I would just let the tank settle rather than constantly disturbing unnecessarily. Even when ammonia (NH3) is present in water. At your pH (6.8), most of NH3 is in the form of non-toxic...
