- Currently I have 2 tanks. One is a 3 gallon freshwater that I keep my male bette fish in. It has LED and an air pump along with decorations for the fish to interact with. I do not have a filter, I never found one mandatory for a better tank after owning them for 10 years. However I do change the water weekly. My second tank is a 20 gallon freshwater. The filter is an Aqueon filter, the heaer is 100w Aqueon heater. It has LED lights attached to the lid and the water remains a constant temp of 76 degrees F. I have live plants in there such as an amazon sword, java fern, anubias and boss balls.I have 6 zebra danios, 4 albino cory catfish, 1 dwarf gourami and 2 algae eater shrimp.
