I can tell you why ! I just switched my 180 gal. tank from salt water back to fresh water , because it was toooo much $$$$ to maintain and way to much work , if you have alot of $$ and alot of time on your hands then I say go for it . It really depends on how much you want a saltwater tank ...

I am getting ready to build an out door pond . What I was wanting to know is can I use a liner from a swimming pool ? My brother has a inground pool , he had to put a new liner in , (the top edge tore ) so I have a huge liner and could build a huge pond :lol: Would this work ?

Im switching back to freshwater ,selling the saltwater stuff I have . I have a 180 gal. tank the sand in the tank is like southdown its 2 in. thick the tank has been set up for about 6 mo. so I guess it would be like live sand .I have a yellow tang , an watchman gobey a fire fish , 1 surpent...

Ok , so if I add some more sand enough to make about a 5 inch sand bed , wont the sand that I already have in my tank be live sand ? Or do I have to get live sand from another sourse to add to the new sand ? more LR but its going to be later on down the road , I 'm trying to save the money to...

How often does eveybody clean the filter pad that sets on top of your wet/dry filter ,or change it ?

I just got 2 triggers . and did the freshwater dip I only left them in there for 5 min. it was to scary , but it turned out great they are doing very good !
