- I have a 55 gallon which used to be salt water, but I have recently converted it to fresh after some bad news bears with the reef fish. I have done salt water for about 6 years, never have had a fresh water tank before but I do have to say, I love it a lot still, just seeing these little guys swim :). I have a piece of ancient coral rock with a hole for my fish, a rock cave, some fake plants and some live plants forgot what it is called but the leaves are green on top and pink underneath ;)
I have 6 neon tetras, 3 glow tetras, 2 gold mollys(m/f), a female blue molly, a (m/f) solar flare sword tails, 4 lamp eye tetras, 3 glow tetras, 1 albino cory, 1 rainbow shark, a gold algae eater, and a sail fin porthole catfish. Sounds like a lot buuuut it is a 55 gallon tank, width wise. And everyone gets along, eats well, and is happy. Water quality is good. I have a wave runner, a emperor penguin 350 gallon filter, a amazing heater, and the lighting used is my old lighting for my salt tank. Hi
