Hello, I bought a clown loach to take care of my snail problem and after purchase found out he would end up getting too big for my aquarium! Darned local pet store employee only caring about the sale (to be fair I could have done additional research).
Either way, he has to go.

I also got a tiny puffer fish. I think I read somewhere that they eat snails too. He's adorable and strange looking at the same time.

I ended up getting a clown loach and boom the snails are gone. They were swiftly murdered! And a tasty snack to boot. Thanks though. Good point about the notion of it being dosing either way.
I read online that an easy way to get rid of nuisance snails is to put a penny in the filter. Has anyone had any experience with this remedy?

I want to get a good carpet plant. I heard baby dwarf tears are beautiful but need CO2. I'm not that advanced...yet. I like the idea of a low lush rolling Kelly green carpet but I can't seem to figure out one that does not require the CO2 aspect. Any suggestions?

I also stopped leaving the lights on all day while I'm away at work. Now they are on for about 4-5 hours tops outside of random natural light from it being daytime. The algae is nearly gone but is still on the zebra rocks in a few places.
