I had a canister initially on my 75 gallon tank but it didn't last long. It was hard maintenance. I personally prefer the HOB. Much easier to clean and maintain and does an excellent job. Got a biowheel which I really like. Just make sure it's large enough for tank. If plants clog up filter...
I've had clown loaches for years in a 75 gallon tank and mine were fed very well. They get along well with most fish as long as they have somewhere to hide. Mine never got larger then 4-5 inches. Those were in there for at least 2 years. Maybe in the wild they get that big but I wouldn't...
Clown loaches are my favorites and if anything they are very playful and active. Never had a problem in my 75 gallon tank. Had up to 6 at one time and could stare at them for hours. I like the red fin sharks too. Can't wait to restock my tank. Barb

I am new to this forum. About a year ago my tank of 14 years crashed and I lost all my fish except a few neons. Prior to that I have read a lot of books on fish and setting up aquariums. I have always had a lot of success with a mixed community of fish. I do a large cleaning every 6 months and...
