Quarantine tank?

I don't know why your ph dropped, but it seems its back up now? Perhaps an error in the tank? Quite honestly I would not worry about it unless it drops again....

I think the one I used was called nutrafin safe start. If you search there are about half a dozen different brands. You want it to say nitrifying bacteria. You can do a search here too. There have been some threads discussing which brands were better etc...

To be honest I do not remember the brand. Members here will hopefully give you some suggestions. Some say it works, some say it doesn't, but all agree it won't harm...I will hop online and see if I can jog my memory as to what I used.

I have not used them for aquarium supplies. That being said, I have used them for dog supplies and they seemed to be a good company to use.

Hmmm, oh well as long as it clears. Hopefully the new lights and root tabs do the trick and get the plants looking better....thanks again.

Thanks rivercats, I hadn't heard of the tabs causing this which is why I was confused. My substrate is gravel that is well vacuumed every week.... Leaning towards a bloom due to the new lights but who knows?? It is a whitish haze.....anyway, it is starting to clear, the fish seem happy and the...
