my friend's dad did this experiment where he put 15 guppies in a 10 gallon tank that had a tube to another 10 gallon tank. the tube allowed the fish to go from one tank to another. anyway, the only thing he did for about 5 years was feed the fish daily...it's still going and he's had to give...
One time before i went to bed, i looked into my tank and saw my tiger barb kinda just floating around with his nose pointed toward the gravel. at first i thought he was dead, but i walked up to the tank and he spooked and swam around again. i noticed that he does this every night, it must just...
the temp here has been consistently in the low teens. i thinkit's gotten as high as 26F in the last week and a half. my poor little heater in my 10gal can barely keep a steady 78...i think it drops to about 75 at night. we're supposed to get more snow today through tonight...
I'm sorry, I had a Chinese Algae Eater jump out of my 10gal and a friend had a sword and an eel jump out of his 60gal a couple weeks ago. It's an epidemic, i swear. I would recommend a hood for sure. Other than that, no idea why the others would die...
I have very soft water and can't seen to keep a constant ph in my 10 gal. but i have an undergravel filter, so where would i put the crushed coral? under the gravel? also, where would i find some? (sorry if these are stupid questions).
It's the one under the rock ornament, it's not a pleco...and it's got yellow-ish orange eyes. He's probably about 4 or 5" long, and about an inch wide.
is it better to have just a plain black background than just having nothing? i have a university of washington huskies pennant hanging on the wall behind one of my tanks...i never really thought about a background...
I'm not sure what kind of sucker fish it is...it's long and orange, i'll try to get a pic up or something. i think he might be an albino something or other, any ideas?
I don't know, they seem to get along, and the Barb has pretty much established dominance...they've lived together for about 7 months by now without any trouble. Also, i only have them in a 10 gal. tank, so i don't think i could get any more barbs in there comfortably.
one of my friends has a pleco that's about 17" to 18". every time he reaches in to re-bury his plants, the pleco thrashes around and uproots them all again. lol
