    300 gallon "Outside Corner" Reef

Sounds really great. I just sold my end game tank and am out of the hobby. Whats the plan for the new setup? Will you be moving the separated clown tang in with general public?

Someone is giving me 5 or 6 peacock cichlids

Don't ever dose anything unless it is necessary. This is especially true with things that 'address ph'. Most people don't even understand how ph works and dump chemicals in. End of the day, especially in winter months with furnaces running, pH levels will be lower as it goes through its...

    Dary's tank!

Start off with the water in the tank being warmer than the surrounding enviroment. Once you tie in winter conditions, the furnace will suck the humidity out of the air. The same happens with cooler air, but it is much more drastic with the hot dry air we circulate during winter months. So in...

    Dary's tank!

You'd be surprised how far a drunk can take a car that shouldn't be drivable. I'm more surprised that they left that junction box just laying there on the ground. I don't worry about these kinds of incidents. In my old house we lost power all the time and I would simply stir with a spoon...

    [NEWBIE] Cycling Tank

Add ammonia to 2 ppm. If you test and it and nitrites are gone in 24 hours you are cycled. Just repeat until this happens.

    Anemone Moving

You shouldn't. Once a foot is placed, it is difficult to do as it is easy to damage the foot. Once a foot is damaged there isn't any recovery. People will report using credit cards and such, but the safest way would be to point a powerhead at it and trick it into moving on its own...but then...

    Milli-Q water for water changes?

I've never worked with Mili-Q, but the college I went to did it's own that it collected from rain water. What I recall, the TDS of this was really close to 0 if not 0. But that was for a reason I'm sure, but there wasn't a DI resin phase like we run to make that final jump from ~10 to 0. I...

75 gallon build- Full Triton Method

Nice. Glad you're taking care of it now. I know I ended up with titanium something or other...I don't recall what kind I have, but it's two of them.

Looks like tubes of filter feeders of some sort.

    Lowering Nitrates with sugar?

My suggestion is to get a ro/di and to make sure you are going in with 0 nitrates. I tried to chase nitrates in my last tank with water coming in with nitrates. Never caught it and was out a load of money during the time I tried to do so. Ro/di is the cheap and proper solution.

    heniochus butterfly

My answer is no. I tried many 'with caution' over the years. Nothing worked out. When it comes own to a reef, the coral are the most important thing in there for me. I won't ever put a with caution fish in a reef ever again. It isn't worth the cost.
