I did test after all was said and done and everything came back normal...ammonia and nitrites were at 0 and nitrates were under 20...I was running an aquaclear 70 so there was plenty of surface agitation.
awhile back I had a school of nine panda corys in my 29 gallon and all but 3 died. I don't recall any obvious signs of sickness...they just died one by one. Im wondering if it had to do with oxygen levels? it was a well established planted tank but it didn't have an airstone. Id like to try...
Hi... Sorry for the late reply... I ended up treating them in my qt tank with the fungus guard. I lost one panda but the rest all seem to be fine.My parameters are
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
10ish nitrate

Lol.
1.No co2 needed.
2.Yeah in my experience low light plants will do fine in medium lighting.
3. I bought my timer at target for like 5 bucks. Its just a regular indoors timer.
I bought a hagen glo 1x24 inch HO fixture off amazon. I know that they had a 36 inch as well. It was very affordable for a t5 ho light. Im currently running the single 24 inch on my 29 with low to medium light. No co2.
Hey everybody, here is my new 29 gallon planted. Do you guys have any suggestions to make it better? It really seems as though it's missing something.
Hagen AC 70
Hagen glo t5ho 1x24
No co2
Thanks!!!
Definately buy everything seperately, unless you are on a tight budget. Everything in those kits are generally garbage. In the end it will all come down to how much you want to spend.
