How big must fry be before putting in a community tank? Had one guppy about 2cm big I put in other week and next day vanished without a trace :(

Today I finally switched from a hang-on filter to the ViaAqua 750 my tank came with. Now I noticed right away that my Gouramis are what I looks to be spitting at the surface. Could it be trying to make a bubble nest now 90% of the turbulence gone from the hang-on?

I went out and bought some Pimafix and went by the instructions and dosed my tank with what it recommended (5ml per 40L = 20ish ml) so fingers crossed doing this for next 7 days my Guppy would recover and prevent any other fish from getting fin rot.

I have had two guppies in a breeding container with another female past few days and noticed they never seem to eat all their food, so I clean it out as often as every other day to limit stress. My first reaction is take out plants into separate tank and do a 40% wc & pull out the carbon filter...

So far for half decent deals is Best friends, also quite like Coburg Aquarium on Bell st but tbh the staff treat you as a number not as a customer & they don't have price tags anything other than their animals. Also Deer Park aquarium just off Ballarat Rd is very nice especially for Discus' 5...

On the subject of guppy fry, one of the four are giving birth as we speak. I have caught two and put them in a separate email breeding trap but took forever they are soon fast. My question is: will they naturally go in a fry trap I am made? Or do I put something in it to entice them in?
