My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

Just arrived home from work and the eggs seem to have gone. Don't know who has eaten them this time, but Bruce was staying away all the time I watched last night, in fact he is still staying away now, and Libby would viciously chase away the tetras. Could it have been the Kuhli loach's? They...

My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

Well there are definitely eggs in there. I can just see them through a small hole in the top of the flower pot. I've taken a picture, only on my phone tho and zoomed in, so may not be very clear. She is now guarding the cave and chasing away any fish that gets too close, including Bruce. Her...

My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

It's so cool to watch this behavior ain't it? Can you see where yours are likely to place the eggs? I've a feeling I won't be able to see these eggs as the will be in the top of the flower pot. Sent from my HTC One using Aquarium Advice mobile app

My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

I've got a feeling they are due another spawn, and may actually be in the process of it now. I can home from work to find her (Libby) sat in the entrance of a cave (flower pot) looking a much brighter yellow than usual with very little sign of her usual black markings. Whenever the male...

If they are to spawn again, How long should you expect to wait between spawns?

My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

I don't believe it, in the time it took to type that post, it seems the male has managed to eat them all. Will he do that every time, or is that just because it's his first time?

My new Agassizii pair just laid eggs!

Having recently lost a pair of cockatoos, i decided to keep Agassizii instead, so found a nice pair locally just a few days ago. Now I had no intention of breeding them, or any of the fish i have for that matter, but after a water change today, i noticed the pair chasing each other about rather...

    DIY Nano Build!

So the glass I had was probably not appropriate but since then i have acquired some more glass. One sheet about 280cm long it was, by about 45cm wide. Much thicker, laminate glass. It was cracked at one end, hence why it wasn't needed, so i cut of the cracked bit, then I've cut the remaining...

    DIY Nano Build!

So after using an online calculator it has occured to me that as the 2 panes of glass are each only 3mm wide, it is too thin for a tank that size (the volume would potentially be over 80 litres). Even if I leave the panes as they are, stuck together with a gap in between, all the pressure would...

    DIY Nano Build!

So I was on site today, speaking to one of the window fitters, when he mentioned that someone had ordered too many panes of glass, I joked that id take them off him, to my surprise he said take them. So I've got them home, 4 of them and measured them. All of them are the same size, 481mm x 372mm...

    Ram behaviour help!

Great, thank you very much for your replies. I'll try the peas. Boil, cool, peel, easy enough and more variety, sounds good. I always defrost the frozen food but was told to just leave it in a pot of the tank water. I gather your method is better?
