Be careful what you wish for with xenia. I used to read all those people complaining about xenia taking over and I thought, "Yeah, right. I wish I had that problem." So what do I do? I go and get me a frag and it's taking over my tank.
Once it settles in good, you can't kill this stuff...
Fantastic pic! It just seems to make me smile everytime I look at it. That's one of the great things about this hobby, there's always something that surprises me.

I have a refugium that sits below the tank level. Mine is working out fine. In my situation it just wasn't possible to sit above the tank. I have to agree that a lot of pods probably do not make it like this, but there's still a lot who do. The explosion of the pod population in my main tank...
I have to agree with everyone's suggestion of a squamosa. I too have a 75 lit solely by VHO's. I've had mine for over a year and he has easily doubled in size. He sits on the sandbad.
I'd love to have a crocea or maxima, but I just don't think it's a great idea.
