Hi guys and gals.... :( I awoke this morning to feed my fish only to be missing 1 clown fish. I know they were both there last night when i went to bed as i was watching them in the anemone... I have 2 bubble tip anemone, small ones which are the result of a larger one that split about a month...

Thanks for the info!! I guess i was wondering are they harmless? I know the cyano is bad....just more wondering should i be getting rid of the other?

Just a note, the second red thingies are kind of hard....if you try to squeeze them some of them pop like they are air tight? So they aren't sludgy like an algae.

Today i rotated a piece of live rock in my tank and i found this growing on the underside of it.....It actually looks quite good :) I wouldn't mind if it started popping up all over the rock. Just curious to know what it is if anyone knows. Also i've been wondering what these pink things are...

I got these 2 on a few pieces of live rock i recently purchased.....I have no clue at all what they are, i've searched....but it's hard to search for something when you have no clue what it is. :) The pics aren't the best but i'm pretty sure someone will know what these are. I've seen them...

Thanks for the info :) I think that's my problem, i'm not water changing enough. I've been testing my waters and the nitrate has been at practically 0 for almost a month now so i've sort of figured i didn't need to do the changing...i guess i was wrong. I will change 50% tonight when i get home...

Hi Ziggy, thanks for the response. In regards to the red algae, my waters are Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 PH 8.3 Nitrate 0/5 My tank is about 2 months old now. What other nutrients are you talking about? Is it something i can get a test kit for to work out what might be causing it?

Hey guys/gals. I got a few small pieces of live rock today from the LFS. When i took it out of the bag this ball dropped out. I have no idea what it is, so i put it in my tank as it looked pretty cool....and lo and behold, a few minutes later all these stringy tentacles start coming out of...

That's correct :) however, i've had the mantis shrimp in the tank with the crabs now for 5 days and he hasn't gone near them....I've got my new tank setup now anyways so the crabs will be going in the sump as soon as my chemistry is right.
