See next post for a pic of the half-floating hornwort (didn't realize you could post pics on the forum). I've dislodged it from the filter output so in the pic it is free.

I had 2 of those for a couple months and didn't seem to have a problem with them eating my plants. Then again they didn't live too long...both were eaten by my fish...my tanks seem to be snail death traps.
