I guess what I am trying to do is to use the return pumps to create more water movement in my display tank. By doing this I won't need to clutter up the D.T with power heads or wave makers

My display tank is going to over flow ontop of a chamber of bio-balls, then through a skimmer chamber. I have heard bad things about BB, that they are nitrate factorys. Would it be good to put live rock rubble in that chamber instead. any other suggestions.

My tank is built in the wall so I service it from the back in a storage room. My sump will be off to the side because I have lots of room, not under my display tank. I would prefer it this way because this makes sump maint. very easy.:p
