    HELP

Also I have a 28g and I'm making it a reef tank, I'm expected to spend around 1,000$ but that's high, I'm expecting to spend less.you should buy ALL peaceful fish for your tank at first, if you mix the wrong fish you could end up with one missing the next day.

    HELP

Ok I also have a fresh water too, I have a salt also. The biggest thing is filtration, get a protein skimmer and you could get a UV water sterilizer. Coral isn't nessasary but they are really pretty, reef tank are more money because of the corals they need special light and more calcium. You...

    Live Sand

Thanks, I put the sand in and it was cloudy, I read online what I was suppose to do later. So it's a lot better, plus I have a 28g tank. So our tanks are close, I have a nano cube tank.

    9 days new tank

Ok your salt levels are PERFECT, which I applaud, mine is 1.022. Your phosphate is off just a touch. You should get a protein skimmer to help filtration.also your ph is off, it should be around 8.3 for saltwater

    lionfish probz

First see if he is alive, then I don't think you can do anything just let him do his thing, I. Sure he will be fine.

    Starting Over.

Ok first a protein skimmer is a tool that helps get rid of all the harsh Bactria in your aquarium, it helps a bunch for the filtration. I would recommend live rock and live sand the only "living" part of live rock/sand is it has good bacteria from the ocean ( get the live rock pre cured) if the...

    Clean up crew

I just got a 28 gallon saltwater fish tank and I've had it set up for about 2 weeks. I was wondering if I could put a clean up crew in it. Could I put a couple crabs, shrimp and some snails? Or is it to early to put anything in yet?

    Live Sand

I got live sand for my tank at the store, I had not rinsed it and my tank water was so cloudy for a week. Finally it's clean and very clear, but it was bad. I just started saltwater and so good thing there wasn't any fish or coral in there.

royal gramma is hiding near surface of tank

I agree with you mdchurch, I think every tank should have a place so their fish to hide and feel safe from the outside world.

    Nitrates too High

For the nitrates you could use a chemical used Atari local pet store to lower the nitrates.

    I want a starfish

First never by a fish online, or a star fish, if its your first star fish I would advise you to get a beginner one. Be sure you calcium levels are perfect also if you have a reef tank make sure that the levels are good, then yes you will be ok, I think,...........

    Water tests?

The reason why it's perfect because the tank had a chance to cycle, don't be worried, I wouldn't put in any fish quite yet, I just started and I am going to wait about 6 months.

    George's 28G Nano Cube Build

28 gallon friend Hey! I have the same tank, size and brand. I started about 2weeks ago and I finally have the filtration down and the live rock and live sand. My first problems with the tank was that I had a hard time getting the filters to not be so loud:banghead: turns out that there wasn't...

    New setup ?s

I wouldn't put in any fish quite yet, I know your kids are bugging you about it, but I am sure that if you put fish in there now they are going to die. Another thing is how long have you had you tank running? I would wait a couple weeks until you put anything fish wise in there. I know your kids...
