Bristle nose pleco are exactly what person above said. Technically but not the regular predator type. Plecos in general love wood. It's actually dangerous to get fake wood and stuff because they'll eat it! So be careful if you purchase any wood in case it has chemicals. And plecos are actually...
Just wanted to say thank you everyone. Lost six clown loach but one survived.. And the ich is gone from royal pleco. My clown has a few spots but definitely getting better !!! The cure is heat! Thanks soooooooooo much!
Driftwood comes from water, bogwood comes from a big and it's in the earlier stages of fossilization. So it's more like rock. Harder and driftwood tends to be softer.. You could use either though. And yes boiling works you just want to make sure it's sterile ! Dishwashers are just easy and big...
I think it looks great. You need to get some suction cups for your heater and maybe try either spacing the plants out more on back or get another tall one. What do you think about driftwood? We got some down at our local river, put it through the dishwasher with no soap and drilled pieces of...
Took all the filters out after maybe 2 days and then kept treating. Apparently meds are super stressful and also reduce the oxygen levels so I'm afraid turning up the heat that high with meds ya know. Ill go out and get another heater ASAP . My royal has it now too :(
So my clown loach have ich. I've tried doing med treatment for a weekish finally decided to go for heat and I'm having a hard time getting my temp up. I'm a hair below 85. I have a 75 gallon with a long tube heater on the side do you guys think I should get another one?
My nitrate and ph levels were up still I think around 20 -40 ppm and ph of 8.4 left my lights off all day.. And ammonia was hard to tell but it looked as if it went down. That was before water change and now I'm waiting a bit to test again
Do you think I should try getting some type of filter back in then? There's nothing really in the tank except the silicon around the edge that could get stained - not sure if it is silicon... I'm just afraid to quit medicine in case it is working :( im gonna try turning up to 88 and see how that...
Will there be any problem cycling while doing treatment? We are using nox-ich at half dose after 50% water chnage and 25% dose every other day. I love my loach but I really don't want to compromise everyone else's health just for them. What do you guys think about a quarantine tank? I think it...
Yeah our nitrate levels are around 40-80 ppm we just did a 50% water change last night and our ammonia was at .25 but it went back to zero didn't check nitrates though. I think I'm gonna retest and do daily 25% water chnage and maybe 50% every week? You think water temp of like 88 is good to aim...
