Ahh. I think I'll start buying plants online, and make sure I QT them first. Thank you soooo much for your help though. I'll be starting all of this tomorrow, and hopefully everything will go smoothly. I don't want to see another leech or snail again. Ever.
Thank you so much! Alright, tomorrow morning I'm going to tackle this. Haha. The snails were a breeze to get rid of compared to this. And my neons are angry at me for keeping them in such a small tank for so long. This is crazy. Did you ever figure out where they came from?
When I bleached my tank the first time (because of the snails) it was pretty much impossible to get the residue out no matter how much I rinsed. Do you have any suggestions for that?

Exact same thing. I read through the whole thread, and I've decided that I'm just going to tear apart the whole tank. I'll go outside in the morning, rinse it all out, and let it dry. And then buy new substrate and filter (uuughhh) and hope they don't come back.
They're extremely tiny, but don't appear to have triangular heads. They're way too small for me to get a picture of, but there a hundreds of them. They do seem to swim very snake like, and mostly they wiggle through the sand.
