So I have some grass like plant in my aquarium and it's kind of getting too long for my liking. I was wondering if it would be ok if I gave it a short hedge like haircut. Or would that kill and damage the plant. Also, would I just take a pair of scissors and do it?? What's the best way to cut...

So I have a tendency to feed my fish in the morning and today I got up extra early and when I turned the light on in the tank my fish just didn't seem right. Most were kind of drifting around at the top of the tank un reactive one furcata was stuck between a couple blades of grass just laying...

It's the fluval tank... So it has the normal led lights bulbs that are in the centre of the tank. And then I purchases the big black strip that goes over the whole length of the tank - more leds. As for running the lights i do have a timer But I've just been turning them on and off manually...

It has quite a few live plants in it and those should take off soon enough. The tank has a different design too it as well the top of it is all glass except for the opening in the very centre that is covered with a screen. :) Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I only have a 6 gallon and I went and bought a thick band of led lights by marine land. Pretty expensive .. But they light up so bright and clear and produce absolutely no heat. Great for plants that need alpt of light. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
