    Best dechlorinator/wc method?

I use 1 inch diameter 30 foot long clear tubing. Siphon from my tanks into the tub. Then disconnect the shower head fit the tube over the pipe and run the water back into my tanks. I can control the flow and temp easily. While it's running I add the appropriate amount of prime. Prime is the...

Do male mbuna sometimes hold eggs instead of the females after a spawn

Yes post a picture, never trust lfs. I am guaranteeing it's female. What you say is mating could easily be aggression especially towards other females Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Opinions?

When people talk about aggression with cichlids that is not what they mean. Almost all fish will eat another if they can fit in their mouth. That's not aggression that is just nature. Cichlid aggression is different. By aggression they mean fighting, cichlids will nip, chase, lock jaws...

It depends on the species. Some species can get along with multiple fish, others do best in pairs. You can always add a school of neon tetras with dwarfs. Gives you a nice active tank at all levels.

That tank is too small for any of those fish. At adult size your fish will be 4-6" (12-16cm) depending on the species. You need to rethink your plans. There are many cichlid species that stay smaller and would do much better in your tank. The first one is a johanni Second is a sunshine peacock...

    Apistogramma!

Females can be pretty picky on a male, especially if one dies. When looking for a replacement try to get the biggest, most colored male you can find.

That's good! We are on the garden level so I'm fairly certain its carpet then padding and concrete so a little flooding isn't going to hurt.
