    Peanut worm?

I have that site under my favorites, that is a super close up picture. I have yet to see this worm that close. xtalreef is very informative but does not answer every identity question on this site. Every time I have an identity question I am directed there. I was wondering from the picture I...

    What is a pest?

I would definatly call that a pest. And they are curlique anemones. I won't opt for the others since they are usually pulled from a reef and need more work than I can give.

    cycle ?

I don't know your LFS but don't ever treat your main tank with anything. If they told you to treat both your tanks I would change LFS's.

    What is a pest?

I have learned over time that in a garden, that anything you don't want in that particular garden is a pest or "weed". Now, I am gonna picture my tank as a garden. Are all anemones that aren't pretty a "weed"? I have a few aiptasia with a failsafe controller, I.E. calcium hydroxide. I also have...

    Anemone Identity, not Aiptasia.

I figured the anenome out. From what I can tell it is an orange ball anemone. They only come out in dim light and have small reflective balls on the tips of their tentacles.

    New MH light.

After a discussion with my wife I have came to a interesting conclusion. I percieve light alot differently than anything under the water does, and it in turn will take time for me to adjust to different light spectrum and intensity because I am a mere human. I never thought of sharp VS. dull. I...

    New MH light.

I agree, and i do like the new light(shimmering and all), I am just trying to make sure that my tank is getting the proper benificial lighting that it deserves.

    New MH light.

:confused:I was in a conversation the other day on this forum and was told that a 70w MH light would be better than my 130w PC for several different reasons. Now my question is now that I have purchased $330 worth of lights, why does the MH seem to be alot dimmer than the PC. Was it worth the...

Would like to change color temp!

Alright, I got my 70w MH 14000k K2 viper light today and it seems to be alot less bright than my 130w pc light. is this really going to be enough light for my 30 gallon tank?

    Crushed Coral

I personally like CC. With the flow you need in a tank you don't have to worry about your substrate moving around on you and it helps keep your PH stable. With sand any sort of water movement towards the bottom of your tank will move and shift your stand. However it is a personal choice and I...

    42g - FO or FOWLR?

My tank sits at 80-82F and it is fine, I would worry if it got any warmer than that though. Keep the fan on it IMO.
