Pray I noticed my barb not swimming and just straight up and going upside down, like they act when they're about to die. But this fish seems healthy. He's eating, he stops and swims normal sometimes, his color is fine. He's just acting like he's about to die.
Anyone know the cause of this?
Thanks for the advice guys! I found the box and they are 15 watt. So I've got two 15 watts. I hope Petco has at least some basic plants. If not I'll look into buying off the Internet.
Yes, the tank has been running for over a year. I'm a little low on fish due to an ich outbreak about a month ago. I've got 3 zebra danios, 1 bloodfin and some little orange guppy. I was planning in getting a pair of panda Cory's and maybe one or two other fish.
I really don't know much about plants. The closest pet store to me doesn't sell real plants. I'm making the 1 1/2 hour trip to petco this weekend to see what they have. I would like to get everything in one trip since I don't go up there that often
Have gravel in the tank right now, i was wanting to just get new gravel because it is fading, but I've decided i want to just some real plants in there. The tank has been set up, there are fish. I was wondering what substrate I should change to have good plants and how to safely change the...
I finally got around to measuring just the tank and it's 9" long x 3" wide x 5" deep. I looked at petco's website and they don't have any java moss or really anything short. The shortest plant it has is some micro sword that grows up to 5". Can I just get some plants that do grow taller and...
Well I couldn't tell you what it was all like back then. I haven't had a molly for about 7 months. I've had the same 10 gal filter since I started the tank but I'm going to look into filter media after I read something about it on here today.
I have a 10 gal. I only ever had one at a time. Ive had a Dalmatian Molly and a plain white one. I had them with two orange platys, a blood fin, three neon tetras, and a clown loach that I now know was not right for a 10 gal but he's dead now.
My temps have always been fine. Except for what's happened in the last few weeks I've never had any problems with anything in my tank. I will admit I never heard about cycling a tank until I came to this site a few days ago. But wouldn't that have affected the other fish?
It's not a huge problem but I've had a few mollies at separate times and they always die very quickly in my tank. I haven't had one in a long time because I figure they would just die. Any idea on why this happened? I wouldn't mind getting another because they can be pretty.
Just looked again and by the dimensions it says that that is the assembled size. And by looking at it in person it's definitely a half gal.
It's 10" wide x 3.5" deep x 9" tall. Again that's the assembled size. So it would just be a little shorter than that
Great! I was going to buy new gravel for my tank anyway. I'll save a scoop for the little tank. I should be making the long trip to petco next weekend to start this thing.
