Haha no problem! Quick question, could I put my small albino pleco in there for a couple of days to take care of the algae problem? Or should I not do that because of the shrimp?

That's good! I've also noticed atleast one, if not two are berried. So I'm hoping all goes well and I can just take care of the current algae problem

And the just raise it above the tank so that it spreads evenly?

I actually really liked it in my bedroom. Was nice to wake up to a dull light instead of burning your eyes when turning the main lights on haha. That's why I'm bummed I can't use it in its truest form currently

Drying or dying?

Hello, I've had my shrimp for about a week now and it appears that a lot of my shrimp have molted. There are 6 molts at the bottom of the tank, and I only have 10 shrimp. Is this good or bad?

I don't see anything that says SE On it. So I'm going to assume it isn't SE.

Any idea how?

Well now I'm feeling pretty dumb and want to keep the tank healthy until I learn how to dial everything in and can afford CO2 etc. I think I'll just run it like a basic medium light for whatever suits the plants best and dose with flourish and flourish excel along with liquid ferts and see where...

Here is the tank. I have been dosing flourish excel and will begin dosing flourish as well. Light is on the cloudy setting for 8 hours a day. Currently debating putting my guppy fry in to produce a little more of a bioload. Thoughts?

Definitely going to decrease the strength of the light and run it for 6-8 hours though.

It appears to be in triangle patterns. The tank has been running for about 2 months, but the shrimp and 24/7 light were added 4 days ago.

It's brown so not sure if brown algae or diatoms. I don't know what's causing it, and how do I keep it from happening if I want to use the full cycle of the light?
