They look like fancy guppy's from the pic. If you can get a better close up i would be able to know. I have fancy guppy's myself and yes they are very hardy.

Torch looks really bad :-(( im seriously thinking on feeding the shrimp to my arawana.

Im not im waiting for it to finish its cycle. I would never put them in a tank that isnt fully cycled.

All the plants came from petco in the aquarium section. They were potted mixed plants. They were all submerged in a display tank there.
