These are little white/clear worm looking things. Im not sure if they are safe in the tank. They are mostly on the bottom of the tank but some are on the rocks. What are they? are they harmful? If so how do I get rid of them? Here is a pic: Thanks!

If it feels slimy, then its possibly red slime algae. It is a coat of bacteria. Some of the reasons that it can be caused by is very low water movement and I think high phosphates. If it is red slime algae best way to control and get rid of it is by doing pwc (RO/DI water) and get the water moving.

so with wich sand do you think I should go with?
