    cascade 200 power filter

    I had help setting up the Brackish tank in my home and when the guy put the Cascade power filter on he left the bio cartridge off the system. Is this ok to do? He looked and said the water flow is better without it there. For some reason I feel it needs to be there. Any advice would be welcomed...
