my sump flow in/flow out rate has been perfect for over 3 months now.. all of a sudden it is putting more water back into the tank then coming in, so the pump is almost suckig the sump dry. what an annoying sound...
any suggestions?
also, i had a wrasse for awhile.. and now it is nowhere to be seen!
perhaps nipped by the bfly(he was annoyed by the cleanings) and died? then eaten by shrimp? really too bad all this random die off...
oh yeah..
yellow tail damsels. vicious little bastards. also one tang, lots of hermit crabs, snails, and 3 pep shrimp.
btw.. 'toadie' (the brown collare bfly) died last night! found him crammed in the live rock. damn, poor guy.

it seems to have a large gouge on his body, but not sure how this would happen. he is now hovering in the middle of the tank, not eating, and has very cloudy eyes. what can i do??
all params are normal otherwise, no other fish are having problems either.

just wondering if anyone has done this with a tank.. so that the tank is perpendicular to the wall, and thus allows viewing from both sides.

any suggestions for landscaping? i'm having trouble building up my lr without touching the acrylic...
if you add liverock a few weeks after the first fish, should take out the fish when adding it? is there anything else you should be careful of when adding new liverock? i need to add another 20 lbs or so.

yep, i agree. i'm not sure why they would recommend lr only.. kind of boring. i shelled out the little extra to get very fine, superwhite argonite sand. i used some crushed coral too just to have a different base under the liverock. it looks kind of like erosion fr liverock to crushed coral to...
