Definitely some neat tricks. Nothing I think I'd like to incorporate into my tank, but neat nonetheless. :)

Yeah, I started everything with a 2-gal hex tank. One month later it was a 10-gal, and 2 months after that a 55-gal. I'm back down to the 10-gal now because of space/money, though. :bawl:

What kind of bells and whistles CAN you add to moonlight? :?

Well, just though I'd let y'all know that I've finally got them up and running. lsdiodes.com was a wonderful site, BTW. I'll be sure to use them in the future. The lights look great. Until I get a canppy built for my tank, I've just got the LEDs taped facing into my main lights' reflectors...

So, would it be a good idea to get some kind of sand sifters for my tank to help keep the sand clean? Or should I just let the sand sit and vaccuum it on occasion?

Can anyone give me any more specifics?

OK, I've had my little 10-gal micro reef up and running for about a year now. I've got about 2 inches of LS, and I'd guess maybe 30 pounds of LR. (see pic in my gallery) I've got a Penguin 125 with a biowheel running on it without a filter cartridge. I've always liked the thought of setting...

Almost starting to sound like I need to build an entire "sub-fixture" within one of my fixtures. Maybe get a 1/2" diameter piece of PVC cut in half with the LEDs mounted in it and the reflector covering the open side. That'd be cool. :D Too bad it's such a pain to find LEDs for sale...

Hmm...the plastic lighting planes sound interesting.... You think just cutting a very small piece (say, 1" square) and mounting it in front of each LED would do the trick?
