There is orange- pieces?, but they are close together, and very small- in the tube for the filter. It is also around the part of the suction cup of my Betta Leaf Hammock around where the leaf meets the suction cup. Does anyone know what this is? Should I do anything about it? If you need more...
I've only seen them up to $20 (at my local Petco), but I'm sure some go for extreme amounts...
So what is the most expensive Betta you've seen/ heard of??:Fade-color
I went to Petco today because I'm planning on getting a Betta in 1 1/2 weeks and I decided to pick up some supplies. One of the Bettas seemed active and then went very still. Two others did that, too. I really want to get a Betta that at least has 75% + of living.... Are these guys healthy...
I was hoping to spend a week with an empty tank and just the water, accessories (gravel/silk plants), thermometer, heater, and filter in there and add in the water conditioning. Once a week was up I could make sure everything was suitable for the betta... so I need to do all of this in 24 hours?
I have a goldfish that I'm giving to a forever home. After she moves on, I want to get a betta. How do I dump out the water and accessories or whatever but not have to cycle it again? Or is it impossible? I really don't want to have to let the tank cycle once more when it's already...
One is a tiger snail or something and is about ye big wide: ----
The other 1-2 are snails that my science teacher gave me because she had dozens. They're brownish, and about this big: --

Anyways, so I was wondering if any of the specific types...
So I'm *planning* on getting a betta, but I just thought "Hey, what if there's maybe a different fish that could fit in a 5 gallon?.." This is more out of curiosity, but since I haven't bought anything for a betta yet, I may as well ask now. I don't think there is anything, but I'm really...
I really want a male betta. I know they're aggressive, but do you think they would leave my 2-3 snails alone?? (I've heard some betta's will pick on anything and everything alive)
 It sounded like so much trouble, I'm glad I don't have to do it. I'm surprised my goldfish actually has survived so long. I feel like such an awful person for giving her such a small tank, and I hadn't cycled it before-hand. :(
No, I didn't cycle the tank when I got the goldfish. However, it's been 2 1/2 years that I've had her.... So does that count? If not, then should I cycle it, then?
