    3 things needing ID please?

It's a 10 gallon. About a year old. This is the 1st time i've ever seen the red cyano in it. I think I know how it came about. Started using municipal water for top offs and water changes. Apparently, our city water has a high amount of phosphates in it. Looks like nothing but RODI from the...

    3 things needing ID please?

Thanks for the reply, Brad. About the 1st picture. It's thin, and it "blisters". That's the best way I know how to describe it. It's like it has layers, and bubbles will form between the two layers, eventually pushing through the outer "skin". It's thin, slimy, and comes off actually quite...

Question about tank mates / Tank Size...

Ok.. Basically.. after a long hiatus from SW aquariums, due to moving all over the country and back.. .I am back in the hobby.. We still have our one, original purchase.. a Green BrittleStar. He's around 11" along his longest point when spread out.. Now.. let the questions start. 1: He's...

    Puffers Series Of Unfortunate Events.

We miss him too, but now, we've got Laci, so all's well. ;-) She's actually quite a humerous fish, once she got over being "shy"

    Puffers Series Of Unfortunate Events.

Well, to make a long story short, our GSP Went jumping while the tank was being moved.... Had the tank setup, had the water back in it, had all the rock work redone... Last step, add the one, lone fish we've had for a long time. Alas, sometime between when I put him in the tank, and got all...

The Z-Flow, $7.50 pvc no hassle overflow

Baotchi, Prolly whats going on is you didn't get all the air out of the pvc... I primed mine by submersing it in the tank, and rotating it in all directions until i was sure 100% of the air was out of the system. Right now, I am getting the 'super suck' effect. The siphon works GREAT, but...

    Sump\Fuge for my 55, questions...

Well, NO.. You prolly can not drill ANY panel on a tempered tank. If JUST the bottom if tempered, you MAY be able to drill a side, but unless you know for 100% sure that the sides are not tempered as well, i'd not go anywhere NEAR the tank with a drill. ;-)

    Propigating Corals...

I have a rather large Colt Coral.. It is absolutly beautiful. I would like to get it spread out a bit, in other places in my tank. Is there a suggested method of making cuttings? Or can that even be done with this coral? From what I know, they are pretty hardy, but this is one of only 3 types...
